5 REASONS WHY EVERY WOMAN SHOULD  LIFT WEIGHTS

I think we’ve all heard the cliché, ‘Lifting weights makes women bulky.’ This is the most deceitful statement I have ever heard. Every woman can and should lift weights. Here’s the thing, we do not have the male hormone testosterone and so getting bulky unless it’s intentional is quite hard. I personally love lifting weights and depending on your fitness levels, the  weight one lifts varies. So why should women lift?

  • IT’S  A REVOLUTION

More and   more  women  are  lifting  and it is such an empowering revolution to witness the epiphany that the society is experiencing. We are slowly realizing that it is no longer a gender activity and  the world is opening up to the fact that what a man can do a woman can do better.  You too can join the revolution. 

  • IT  BURNS FAT QUICKER

Lifting  weights  in conjunction with cardiovascular  exercises and a good diet helps to burn fat  quicker, and  as if that isn’t good enough, it even  burns  fat  hours after  you are done  with  your  workout. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. You’re welcome.

  • MAKES  YOU CURVIER

I see that  smirk  on  your face  ladies. Yes, it gets better!

In as much as consistent cardio is necessary for fat loss, it may not be the ideal formula for giving us the curves we often desire. Weight lifting on the other hand  replaces the lost fat  with muscle and that is why we often insist on combining the two. This will help us maintain our female physique and get rid of cellulite or any hanging skin as well.

  • GIVES  YOU GREAT STRENGTH

I mean,  if you are  going  to  lift  weights, you  definitely  are going  to  be  a  lot stronger than  the  next  girl. Think about  it, who needs  help with  groceries, picking  up  heavy bags  or  handling  any  heavy business if  you have the strength to do  it  on  our  own?

  • ‘CUHZ ‘  YOU  BAD

Yes, you know you bad and yes you know you strong. Strong  girls  lift ,they go out  there  and  smash  those  weights.

Lifting weights varies. If you are working out from home, you can improvise with car tyres, elastic bands, body weight, Jerry cans etc.
